The KNX side of IntesisBox
IntesisBox acts as one more device into the KNX system, maintaining always in memory an updated mirror of the KNX points declared in its configuration table, ready to be served to the ASCII side when requested. The IntesisBox´s KNX TP-1 (EIB) interface connects directly to the EIB bus and is opto-isolated from the rest of the internal electronics.
When starting-up or after an EIB bus reset, IntesisBox can send read requests to KNX to get the current values for those points required (critical signals needed to be updated in any moment in the ASCII controller), this is configurable per point. More than one EIB group address can actuate on the same IntesisBox´s point.
The ASCII side of IntesisBox
ASCII interface of IntesisBox uses serial RS232 communication (baud rate configurable). Points in KNX can be read/written easily from the ASCII side by means of simple messages. IntesisBox can be configured to notify to the ASCII side whatever change of value detected for a point by means of spontaneous messages sent through the ASCII interface. This is configurable individually per point (no need of continuous polling by the ASCII controller device). |

IntesisBox® DK-RC-KNX-1 allows monitoring and control, fully bi-directionally, all the functioning parameters of DAIKIN Air Conditioners from KNX installations. Compatible with all SKY Air and VRV models commercialised by DAIKIN.
Small dimensions and easy installation. It is connected to the wired Remote Control of the AC indoor unit in one side, which can be hidden into an electrical installation cabinet, and in the other side it connects directly to the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus. The maximum bus distance between the AC Indoor Unit, the Remote Control and the Interface is 500 meters.
Great flexibility of integration into your KNX projects. Configuration is made directly from ETS, the database of the device comes with a complete set of communication objects allowing, from a simple and quick integration using the basic objects, to the most advanced integration with monitoring and control all the AC unit’s parameters. Also available specific device’s communication objects, as for example save and execute scenes.
Allows single or dual Temperature Setpoint (different for Cool Mode and for Heat Mode) from KNX (configurable by parameters), and also allows the use of a KNX temperature sensor for the air conditioning control.

The IntesisBox Gatewya has been designed to monitor and control your Notifier ID3000 and ID3002 fire panels remotely from your Control Center using any commercial SCADA or monitoring software with Modbus TCP driver. The aim of this integration is to make available points states of Notifier ID3000 series fire panels from a Modbus master device device. For this, IntesisBox Modbus Server - Notifier ID3000 gateway works, from the Modbus system point of view, acting as a Modbus slave device responding to data polls coming from the Modbus master, and from the Notifier system point of view, acting as a serial device connected to its RS232 port, and serving the data received from Notifier to the Modbus side.
IntesisBox connects to the RS232 port of the Notifier panel, either through the RS232 port of the mother board, or through the isolated ISO-RS232 port (optional card), this last is the recommended and the use of a baud rate of 2400bps.
If there is more than one Notifier fire panel connected in network, any of them can be integrated using the IntesisBox, but only one panel. IntesisBox can be physically connected to one panel but communicating with another panel connected to the Notifier network. |

The aim of this integration is to make available the Check-in and Check-out information from individual rooms from a BACnet master device. For this, IntesisBox BACnet Server - FIDELIO IP gateway works, from the BACnet system point of view, acting as a BACnet slave device responding to data polls or COV requests coming from the BACnet master. From the Fidelio system point of view, it connects using TCP/IP to the Cylon UnitronUC32 – Intesis Box FIAS interface to get the updates of the room status. Also, it can re-synchronize with the current status of all the rooms.
Once IntesisBox is configured and connected to both systems (Fidelio and BACnet), it maintains a "keep alive" message with the Fidelio system, being this message the request/response of panel status, also it listens continuously for new events coming from the hotel management system. With every event, the new state received is updated in the Intesisbox's memory and become available to be read by the BACnet master device through the corresponding BACnet objects or it is sent to BACnet if a COV request has been received.
As mentioned before, the protocol of the Fidelio system is based on spontaneous messages, that is, only changes of states are sent through the protocol whenever they occur. When IntesisBox starts up, a message is sent to the panel to force a response of current state of all elements to update IntesisBox BACnet registers with the correct value. |

How it works
The gateway connects directly to the wired remote controller of the manufacturer enabling a fully bidirectional communication. That allows control of the operating mode, fan speed, setpoint temperature or vanes, among others. Moreover, it allows monitoring of any kind of alarm or error in the Air Conditioning indoor unit.
Functionality example
One of the key points of the product is the presence of 4 binary inputs to provide the possibility to integrate external sensors such as presence detectors or magnetic window contacts. The status of these inputs can be reported to the KNX bus through their respective KNX objects or used to directly launch certain internal functionalities implemented in the gateway.
As an example, the Occupancy function allows defining 2 delays in the absence of presence after which an action parameterizable in ETS is launched. This action can be to "setpoint modification" or to "OFF" command for the Air Conditioning indoor unit. |

DESCRIPTION: The aim of this integration is to make accessible M-Bus system signals and resources from a KNX TP-1 based control system or device as if it was a part of the own KNX system and vice-versa. For this, the gateway acts as KNX device in its KNX interface, allowing other KNX devices to read and write its internal points. From the M-Bus system point of view, IntesisBox acts as a M-Bus master device (EN-1434-3), the readings of the M-Bus slave device(s) is performed by IntesisBox by automatic continuous polling.
IntesisBox polls, either continuously or only when ordered from KNX side, the M-Bus devices to obtain updated readings for the points configured in it (the points corresponding to measures and states of the meters in the integration points list explained later in this document). With every read, the new values received are updated in the Intesisbox's memory and become available in KNX side. When a change in any point configured as an output in IntesisBox is detected (this is written from the KNX side), the corresponding action in the M-Bus will be performed, these actions can be: force a polling of a concrete M-Bus device or force a polling of all M-Bus devices.
The polling of a specific M-Bus device, or of all M-Bus devices, can be forced in any moment from KNX side by writing a 1 in the corresponding binary point specially enabled for this purpose in the IntesisBox.
Also, the automatic continuous polling of all M-Bus devices can be activated/deactivated writing from KNX in a specific binary point specially enabled for this purpose in the IntesisBox.
